      Rocky Mountain High

I soar on laminated wings
Forgetting work and earthly things
Employing force of gravity
To shift my weight and turn the ski.

While overcoming natural fears
I seize the moment that appears
To take the plunge and love the ride
On Colorado’s mountainside.

Encouraged by some newfound friends
To see through snow-distorted lens
I soar on laminated wings
Beneath the snowsuit, my heart sings.
